No. 13 BYU stayed undefeated, improving to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Big 12, with a dramatic 38-35 win over Oklahoma State on Friday night in Provo, Utah. 

 Jake Retzlaff secured the victory by connecting with Darius Lassiter on a 35-yard touchdown pass with just 10 seconds left. Retzlaff threw for 218 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, completing 13 of his 26 passes. Lassiter led the receiving corps with six catches for 129 yards, including the game-winning score. 

 Oklahoma State seemed poised to win after Brennan Presley caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Alan Bowman with 1:13 remaining, capping off a 17-play, 76-yard drive that ate up 8 minutes and 26 seconds. Facing a 3rd-and-13 from BYU’s 35-yard line following a false start penalty, Bowman found Presley for a 21-yard gain to keep the drive alive.

Earlier in the fourth quarter, BYU's Will Ferrin nailed a 41-yard field goal to give the Cougars a brief lead, finishing an 11-play, 52-yard drive after both teams traded touchdowns, leaving the score tied at 28-28. BYU had taken a 28-21 lead late in the third quarter when Keelan Marion tightroped down the left sideline for a 34-yard catch-and-run touchdown. But Oklahoma State quickly responded, tying the game early in the fourth with a trick play—Presley threw a double pass to Bowman, who ran 16 yards into the end zone. 

Bowman completed 11 of 19 passes for 85 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. Ollie Gordon II was the Cowboys’ top rusher, carrying the ball 16 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Presley added five receptions for 43 yards and the late go-ahead touchdown. 

Garrett Rangel started the game at quarterback for Oklahoma State, going 6-for-9 for 51 yards with a touchdown and an interception before exiting in the second quarter with a possible shoulder or collarbone injury after a 54-yard run. Bowman replaced him, and Oklahoma State took a 21-14 lead just before halftime on a 2-yard rushing score from Gordon. Next, BYU heads to UCF next Saturday, followed by an in-state rivalry clash against Utah in the "Holy War" the following week.
